Cases clearly are different but nevertheless they snug them nicely :)
I ordered 3 of these and 1 of them was hingeless as advertised (pictured) Not saying that's a bad thing (you get what you paid for) but it's better than nothing. For their price I'd say it's worth it for it's protection against everyday scuffs & blemishes (especially too if you have a limited edition model) Can't say yet for when you accidentally drop it but I can guarantee it. Installation wasn't too difficult but was definitely annoying to get on at first, other than that they grip the n3DS XLs very well. Adds a bit of bulk to them but that's nothing :) Sure it's price tag might be a little bit but if you're looking for maximum protection, these cases will do as such.

Fits tight but securely
This will only work on the "New" 3DSXL model (don't buy it if your 3ds doesnt have "new" above the 3ds xl/ll logo on the bottom as that is a different console to this one). If my N3DSXL wasn't already a bit scratched up I would be hesitant to put this on it as it is a tight snap on to the console, but it works great! Very snug. The side between the hinges is mostly open which is great as I can access all the ports etc (my N3DSXL has an extra modded port in the back so this was a key reason I purchased it). Works great and perfect to slap stickers onto.
