Ziemlich teuer

Three out of the five discs were defective
The packaging was good, and it arrived on time without any delays or hiccups. When it came to burning the discs, that's when the party started. Full disclosure: I bought these discs to use three out of four of them for a hobby project. This project involved creating an installation program, two separate autorun programs, and designing the discs' cover to go in. I tested everything out beforehand using image files. Every was a-okay, and I was able to burn all three of the discs that I needed. Then it came time to test the discs, and that's where everything fell apart. Discs one and two were good. I got dangerously close to overburning on the first one, a no-no for anything involving dual layers, but the result was satisfactory. I put the third disc in, and everything slows down. I eventually get an error that redirects me to discs one and two. About an hour later, the program asks for disc three again. Not knowing where this is all going, I put it in, and the program proceeds to repeat this process all over again. At this point, I had been at this for two hours. My gut feeling told me that this would happen all over again, so I wrote down the error, closed the program, and looked it up—cyclic Redundancy. I didn't know what that meant at first, but after doing a minute's worth of research, that lead me to a conclusion. This conclusion ended up being a red-herring; I figured that since the discs were mostly readable and had no other massive red flags, they weren't defective. I also knew that my disc drive wasn't defective; I use it quite a lot. The third option my research gave me was that this was a problem with file protection. I killed two out of my three remaining discs before deciding to burn the third one with an attempt at circumventing that—big mistake. What I ended up doing was creating an installer for the files that the first installer needed on the third disc. The idea was if they can't be transferred through a disc, then I should put them somewhere on my hard drive and redirect the original installation program to the folder I put them in. I learned the hard way that that's not how file protection works. Yeah, that plan failed pretty miserably, and now I had a third disc that gave me a Cyclic Redundancy error. I split the third disc's files into two separate, standard 4 GB DVD-Rs instead. Wouldn't you know it? That solved my problem. Not only that, but after working with functional discs, I came to realize my installation program no longer took an hour to give me an error. If these discs were, by any means, cheap and affordable, more than half of them being defective wouldn't be too much of an issue. I paid twenty dollars to be disappointed. If none of your discs are defective, that's great, but I had a pretty bad experience with these. Two stars; I will not be purchasing these again.
