Feels almost like the old fashioned chenille blankets from the "olden days"
It is very hard to find a new chenille blanket -- this is one of the VERY few I could locate, esp since I wanted a "throw" rather than a blanket or bedspread (those are hard to find also though)The cotton is soft and "breathable" -- ideally, there'd be more of the "nubs" that make chenille as comfy as vintage chenille - but this comes close.

Beautiful- but color varies
Don’t get me wrong - I LOVE these blankets. I use them as picnic blankets for my picnic set ups. I like that they look kind of like rugs, but are lightweight. I ordered the whiter one a couple months ago, and ordered another last week. The new one is a much more yellowy color than the original one I had. I was a bit bummed since I only realized it when I put them next to each other, and I won’t be returning either way. But thought it would be important for others to see the color differences. Just know that if you order multiple, the colors may vary.

perfect for summer napping
I like to have something over me when I nap and this was absolutely perfect for napping in the summer when a heavier blanket is too much. It has a nice tufted pattern that is attractive thrown over a chair and is lightweight so it is handy when napping on the couch on a warm summer day

Light weight, inexpensive, decent looking
This throw is really just for looks, it is one sided and thin - the chenille décor is on one side and the other is just fairly plain. I have not washed this as I am only using it on a chair in a very unused portion of our home and this looks lovely. I do think if you wash it it could go either way - so use caution and perhaps gentle mode. It is soft looking (feels fairly rough) and delicate in design. Color is true (light pink is a lovely shade) - this is nice for decorative purposes - think back of chair, or foot of bed. This isn't a 'cuddle up' throw. For the price $15 very worthwhile and would recommend!
