the purpose of this product was to hold printed ink on fabric for projects so they could be laundered in the future. several of the pieces I attempted to soak immediately bleached right out as soon as they were put in the highly diluted with water solution

Actually used Retayne on quilting fabric
I washed dark green batik fabric with Retayne. Afterwards the water was a little dirty but there was no hint of green.
