MG1536 Nikon D3500 Ever Ready Leather Camera Case and Strap - Dark Brown

Having read the reviews I have waited until I wrote my own as I wanted to give some time to testing it. I had nothing to worry about with this case. It's incredibly cool and stylish. It's well made and sturdy. It fits the D3500 perfectly. There are sections for the battery, SD card etc that you can open so you don't need to remove the whole case. It makes my camera so much more portable by popping it in my backpack without worrying about it getting damaged.

The item is certainly made from strong leather and in many ways neatly produced (eg, separate release clip enabling access to camera battery) - and these were the plus aspects deserving the three stars - but there were, for me, two major flaws . First, the top half of the item - held to the bottom by a single press stud - kept falling off when it was swung over to use the camera. It simply comes off under its own weight. Second, the item is advertised as suitable for a Nikon D3500. It wasn't. The fit was far too snug and it was very difficult to get the camera in and out, to the point I worried I might put too much stress on the less mount. It certainly was not an easy job getting the camera in and out. I had to send it back for a refund.

On first seeing the camera case I thought it looked the part however problems started when I attempted to remove the top part of the case from the bottom which are held together with press studs. The press studs (one in particular) didn’t want to release and I could hear it pulling against the leather which was a worry. It eventually did release but than wouldn’t fasten again.I was very disappointed and contacted Amazon for a return of the item within 20 minutes of receiving the parcel.

Fits basic kit really well, easy to fit. Makes the battery more difficult to remove, but makes me feel happier about carrying the camera around, protecting it and still retaining ease of use.

Sturdy very well priced and loving it goes well with my new strap which I bought separately
