I was a little skeptical after reading the negative reviews (I always like to read both) because they addressed the noise factor. There are 2 levels of the noise and I do think the two music options (lullaby and "zen") are too loud for sleeping, the nature sounds and white noise are conducive to sleep. The projection is visible in the dark without brightening up the entire room and not promoting sleep. The fireflies in the jar setting is beyond cute. I'm highly satisfied with it thus far. The plastic seems durable and rugged and is a matte finish which makes it seem higher quality. The plush bear is cute and the right size and fluff for little hands. Strongly reccommend.

My son was transitioning from an aquarium that we used on his crib and I wanted something simple he could turn on and that is battery operated. This fit the bill! I love that you can switch from a firefly look to stars with the touch of a large easy to access button that also turns it on. I do wish the same button that turns it on and switches between the two could also turn it off, but that's not a deal breaker for us. There is a separate switch for that. Also this only has a run time of about 30 minutes but that is what we wanted because it is just for him to fall asleep to or activate on his own if he wakes up in the middle of the night. We are going to buy a second one for my mom's house because she loved it so much too!!

My 8 month old loves it! The stuffy is very soft and the lantern has decent sound quality and the light settings are great.

Our 2 month olds love it; they are asleep before the timer runs out! I also like that it's easy to pack with us when we know we will be gone for nap time.

The best part is the lantern. You can make it project from the top a stars and moon scene or turn it into a jar of fireflies. It really is adorable. You can choose from nature sounds, white noise, music and one other. There is an automatic shut off timer as well. The bear is just a nice little plush pillow. We've had it over a month and the batteries are still great in it.

I like the sound machine but I wish it had an option to keep the sound on all night. We had to buy a different one since the sleep specialist recommended no lights and continuous sound. Could still be a fun toy when he’s older
