Having so much fun with this in the pool, perfect description

We are enjoying the board. It floats nicely on the water and us attractive. Unfortunately the pieces are too big for the spaces and a couple of them were not magnetized, making Backgammon play awkward. We ultimately invested in buying smaller magnetic pieces.

We used the game board just a few times in the pool and then left it in the water overnight. When we came out the next morning, the board was under water. Evidently, it is not watertight, so it filled with water and then sank. I took it out of the pool and was able to get about half the water drain out but not enough to be usable.

This was the 2nd time I ordered this product. The first one was decent and it lasted 3 years before it started filling up with water. Unfortunately, this one wasnt sealed properly from the first time I took it in the pool, and it was almost sinking in 20 minutes. I should have just sent it back, but I instead tried to fix it by drilling a hole in it to let the water out. Apparently, the water is getting inside of it at the seams. Anyway, I have to drain it after each use now, and it is a pain to do.

I bought this last summer, so this review is after a year of use. First, as others have pointed out, the plastic 'floats' take on water internally, so it's not really water tight, and that prevents it from floating well. You have to constantly take it out of the water and drain it. The pieces themselves are flat and magnetic. They are also not really waterproof as we found this year. A couple of them just fell apart, with the magnet inside rusted, so no longer usable. Also the paint on the board and the pieces has faded significantly. For the price I expected something a bit heartier.
