Works well. Easy to adjust.
Pretty much dummy-proof. Does what it says; easy to adjust the voltage.

Good product. Works as expected.
Using this to take 2x18650 battery (8v+) down to 5V. Very good accuracy. Working just like it should.

Repurposes wall wart power supplies and solar lights
Cheap solution to reoccuring problem. I used an old wall charger to convert a solar LED light over to electric so I can use it in an area that doesn't get much sunlight. The photo doesn't show the brightness very well. Since the output voltage is adjustable, you can adjust the brightness of the lights. Now our shaded patio can have lots of fun lights!

first unit I tried died for no reason
Hooked up first unit to a sonicpower 12v gel battery and a led light I got from harbor freight.. worked fine for about 5 hours or so. I disconnected it and tried to connect again and the unit no longer worked. Even the onboard led wouldn't light up. Wtf factor at play here. Overheating is not possible seeing as how I ran it at nor more than 1 amp. The only other issue I can think of is having accidentally reversed the polarity. Will test the other units and report back. The second unit seems to be working ok. I'm taking care not to reverse polarity.

Great buck converters
I am new to using buck converters but these were pretty easy and are smaller than the ones with the display.

Some work some don't
I've had 50% not be able to source more than 60ma of current. They don't get hot, just shut down. Kinda a bummer because I didn't find the issue until I mounted them in an enclosure. I'd test them first in the future on the bench. The other 2 seem fine.

Great DC conveter!
This is an excellent DC power source for a multitude of hobbies or projects. It is especially useful to power up miniature or surface LED's by dialing down the output voltage to 3V thus eliminating the need to wire up resistors. Just make sure the DC input voltage is at least 1.5V greater than the output voltage.

Great for small electronic projects needing reduced voltage
I have a few ESP32 projects (eg hot water monitor) where I did not want to use a battery. I had access to 12 or 24 volt power and these have done the trick in providing stable power to an ESP32 and to a cooling fan. I run the fan at 10v so it is nice and quiet. The ESP32 needs 5v and it gets that all day long. They have all been running without a hitch.
