This drum is such a treat! I bought this for myself after watching someone use it for meditation and the sound was just so fabulous, I had to get one for myself.I've had it a week and play it multiple times a day everywhere. "Play" may not be the right word here since I just hit the notes in a way pleasing to my ear but it is so relaxing and the sound is so lovely that I don't care.Two of my neighbors have asked to play it (they're in their 80s!) after hearing me beat on it and they both loved the sound. One asked that I bring it back this weekend so her daughter can play it. It seems to be a big hit in my 'hood. We may even start a band! (LOL!)It's so easy to play and really comes with everything you need to start playing right away. There are finger tabs if you want to use your fingers and rubber tipped sticks for a louder sound. There's also a nice carrying case with a strap, a small music book and different sets of tongue numbers (the tongues come already marked but if you can't see the numbers on there or just want a different color, you can change them).This is a great gift for anyone, really. It's great to help with meditations as well. Lots of fun. Beautiful sound. Not too awful heavy to carry around in one hand and play with the other hand. At some point I'm sure I'll try to learn some songs but right now, I just love the sound and vibrations from it.The sound is nice and full - not "tinny".

The tone of this drum is so mellow, serene and beautiful (especially with the lowest tone in the middle), which reminds me of sound in Buddhist temple. If you had some basic music training, it's very easy to pick up. The 11 notes version is good enough for plenty of songs. The drum is made of steel-titanium alloy and the texture of the paint is of good quality, with proper care, I believe it can last for years. Based on other reviews, the 6 inch 8 notes version has a higher tone, though I'd prefer the 10 inch 11 notes version, as it has lower tones, more suitable for meditation.

Bought this to have here for when our grandkids visit, but found we liked to play it also.Wonderful tone and well made. We also purchased a couple of song books and it was a big hit with everyone.So popular with the grandkids that we may need to purchase one or two more.

Well made and sounds wonderful. I bought this for my husband who is a musician and enjoys new ways to make sounds. He was impressed with both the quality of the drum and the quality of the sound.

I am very happy with this product. the quality is good, thick good steel, with a black cushioned bag which is easy to carry with good protection. my aughter learned how to use in a minute and was very happy with this tongue drum. she plays piano, this is another good instrument to play with, The drum sounds smooth and relaxing, not too loud. Price is also good, I recommend it.

I am a Yoga instructor and have wanted a drum like this for years to use in my Sound Healing classes! It is everything I could have hoped for and more!! Beautiful design, amazing sound, comes equips with drumsticks, finger tools and already numbered. I LOVE it and used it yesterday in class and it’s already a HUGE HIT! :) Usually drums like this are way more expensive and I am thrilled to have found this treasure for such a good price! And if that’s not enough it is super relaxing and therapeutic to play and easy to learn!!

tone colour or timbre is great, the sound is pleasing to the ear.no need speaker, loud enough, work as it is. no funny issue.13 notes can play many music, given the trade off between the number of notes and price. Good enough for the causal player.budget saver option for an amateur.

Love my drum! I play by ear and love the tone it produces. All notes were in tune. This drum has a soothing sound and is fun to play. Can't wait to record my own meditation music using this. Well made. Great value
