Q: what is the difference between this and pirazzi goldflex rosin?

Goldflex contains actual flecks of gold. Pirazzi Gold is just "golden" in color. Both are good light colored rosins, suitable particularly in hot weather when darker rosins may become too soft. Larica is another brand that imbeds various metals. Some feel this gives a smother feel, others are underwhelmed. Rosins are fairly inexpensive and last for years, so it's best to try a few and see which suits you. I've tried several and like Andrea Solo, but Alison Sparrow, the excellent online tutor, uses Goldflex.

Q: What season is this rosin intended for?

I think all of them. I live in Brazil and we have a great weather change, even during the day and i´ve had no problem with this rosin.

Q: Can this be used on cello non Evah pirazzi string?

Yes, and I think it will work very well. But it was developed to be used with the Evah Pirazzi Gold strings.
