The guitar now really sounds like a flamenco guitar, with plenty of "attack", but the downside is that it doesn't sound as good when playing classical pieces. So, what's the difference between Custom tension and Normal?** A: You would be best served by buying normal tension since you are new to Flamenco. In these days manufacturing is so accurate and so advanced musicians can acheieve sounds they want by using different tensions, usually a specfic set of tensions on a specific guitar. You could easily buy two sets of normal strings and one set of custom and change them about if you wanted to experiment.
