Naturevibe Botanicals Organic Lemon Peel Granules, 1lb | Citrus limon (L.) | Dried granules

I was super excited when I found this, as I do alot of baking and lemon is a favorite flavor. Alot easier then having to zest lemons. However the pieces are way too big and are bitter like they didn't just get the zest. If I use this in the future for baking I will have to use a grinder or something to make it work better.

First, this did not weigh even close to a pound. In fact, the official weight on the mailing label was 0.7 pounds, which is the weight of the entire shipped item, inclusive of the packaging of the product and the mailing envelope. The product might weigh half a pound but I paid for a pound. Second, it smells nothing like lemon. I have purchased lemon peel granules in the small bottles at the grocery store and those have smelled like lemon - tart, sweet, lemony. This smelled, the best I can describe it, as grassy/weedy. Not lemony. The color is off-putting as well - for "lemon peel granules" I expect some shade of yellow but the color is tan/light brown. These are not granules, either. The contents of this bag are more like shreds, not granules, and they're very lightweight, almost powdery in consistency. The flavor is extremely bitter with an almost metallic lingering aftertaste. There is a slight citrus flavor but that's overpowered by the bitter pithy metallic taste. Of course, this item cannot be returned but I want a refund.

This product does not taste, look like or smell like lemons. The chips look more like tree bark than "lemon granules". I was going to use this product for making lemon soap but even reconstituted they do not smell like lemon. Very disappointed.

There was no lemon scent, and above all, no lemon taste. In fact I can't tell you what the scent was but it was as bad as the taste. I bought it for use in frozen lemonade mix as zest to add to the lemon juice., but it can not be used in any form it was so bad. I have used lemon zest in my recipe and had great success with it. I wanted to get a large supply , but I evidently got the wrong product.

this is NOT organic. package comes with an extra bag over it calling it organic. it is not a powder or granule that you can put into a shaker. and worse yet is not returnable.

It doesn't smell, taste or look like lemon at all.

While its a great deal price wise for the amount you get, I didn't find it very flavourful.
