Hands free life
Fabulous. Nuff said. Read it. Embrace . It. Live it. Just like Jesus did. I'm gonna read it again and again

... wisdom by a sweet-natured girl trying to do her best by life
Homespun wisdom by a sweet-natured girl trying to do her best by life, others and her kids. Very American in tone - "heart on yer sleeve" type stuff. Less weeping (tears well up on nearly every page) would be a welcome relief, together with less of the "God" superstition. Useful as a reminder of the value of compassion and kindness, but very twee. She has millions of followers on her blog, so she must be doing something right though, I suppose!

Only love today!
This book was easy read.... I don't think it will be as easy to implement what Rachel suggests but I'm going to do everything I can to notice people.... to love people to not let special moments drift past with out a thought. Life is made up of moments if we miss the moments we miss life lived well.

Great book!
I completely related to this book as a busy working mother. It really helped me put things into perspective and to take time to enjoy the moment. I borrowed this from the library and then bought one to keep. It also provides great practical things you can do to begin living a hands-free life. I will be referring to it over and over again as I tackle motherhood!

It feels as though your best girlfriend- the one who LOVES you and you know ...
This book.Rachel Macy Stafford has a particular gift when it comes to writing about parenting struggles, some of which are age old, and some of which are peculiar to our technologically obsessed times. It feels as though your best girlfriend- the one who LOVES you and you know will tell you the truth- is pointing out what in your heart you already know to be true. We need to slow down. We need to unplug. We need to allow more time for wonder. We need to be less schedule driven. She never lectures, and she is vulnerable about her own struggles raising her girls. I seldom read parenting books because I find myself saying, "I KNOW, I KNOW!!!!" This book made me say, "I know. Oh, me too."I find myself perpetually on the verge of tears, marking pages I want to revisit, making notes- and most importantly, I have stopped several times, put the book down, and sought out one of the kids to hug, or hatch a plan, or NOTICE.This book is a gift.

Makes you want to try it out
I loved listening to this on my kindle too and from work. This book was filled with good ideas to live an, in the moment life. To stop and smell the roses so to say. Switch off distractions and listen. Some of the things she does I have tried to add into my life. Being in the moment isn't easy and this book needs to be read more than once to implement it into you day to day life
