I bought this to use at my home office when I work from home. Allows me to hook up multiple monitors to my laptop. And also provides extra USB ports. In addition, I can use it to power my laptop through the same docking station cable (USB-C). That means I only have to hook up one cable to the laptop when I come home from the office. It does require that it be plugged into an outlet though. My only complaint is that when the laptop first goes to sleep, it keeps beeping. It's the noises that it makes when you plug in and unplug a USB device. It will do this over and over for about a half an hour before it finally stops. For some reason when the computer goes to sleep, the docking station makes it think that USB devices are being connected and unconnected repeatedly. You can unplug it of course. But that also disconnects power to the laptop.

Seamless connectivity.

This is a junk dock. It doesn't work half the time. The network speed is a fraction of the speed compared to plugging the laptop directly into the network without the dock. Half the time the monitors power on then off. It is very unreliable and often has to be turned off and on again. I wouldn't recommend this dock to anyone. Very disappointed in this and the company that makes it. Update: March 2025. I would definitely give this product a 1-star rating now as it seems to be getting worse for performance connecting to the laptop as network and monitor connection is getting horrible. Please and not sure why Targus bothers to sell this JUNK!

Received what looks like a refurbished device. No original packaging or manual. Item description implies this should be a brand new item.

My current setup:Lenovo T15 main laptopMonitors: 1 LG 4K display @ 60 hz, 1 Samsung 1440P display @ 60hzThe dock works well and everything connected to it works, but intermittently. I am currently using an ANKER thunderbolt 4 USB C to C cord as my uplink. Everything works as intended, but after an hour of use my auxiliary monitors will go black. When i take out the thunderbolt cable and plug it back in it works again. I have tried other cables with the same problem, all rated for thunderbolt connection max data/power transfer. Besides it shouldn't be intermittent anyways - it should really work all of the time.I swapped it out with a different brand dock and it worked better.

i does what it says it does. My main reason to buying this was to use with my android devices. Basically consolize my android devices. My Ayn Odin handheld, my Samsung tablet, and my Samsung phone. I had a docking station that came with my Odin handheld, but it died after one use. So i need to get a replacement. The company didn't have any left to replace it. So i needed another dock that would do the trick. My only gripe, the main, reason for saying near perfect, is you still need to download an app to mirror your android devices. Most of my android devices support otg mode. It would have been nice to just plug in and mirror device on screen. And on Samsung phones, the option for dex mode. Which this does not support. Other than that, it's near perfect.
