Overall, charged it fully over a course of 10 hours and it's given me a great deal more battery time than the oirginal EN-EL1 that came with the camera. Of course, the mah capacity of these batteries is about a 3rd higher, so some degree of longer battery time is to be expected. Also, I bought 3 of these, but have not had a chance yet to test all three. Overall, judging by the first one, I think I'll be happy with this item.

I was thrilled to find a replacement battery for my ancient Nikon digital. (Guy at the store told me "they don't make them anymore;" he wanted to sell me a new camera.) My tech support guy found this one for me on Amazon. Bought it, popped it in, camera works. Not many success stories that easy these days. Only fly in the ointment is that the shipping is almost as much as the battery. I didn't have anything else I needed to order to get free shipping and I didn't want to wait until I did. My bad, I guess. Wish Amazon had sliding shipping fees for such low-cost items. But the battery is mint. Very happy.

Battery seems to work well; however, it was only partially charged when I received it!

These work great for my Nikon digital camera. Much cheaper than original. It's good to have an extra on hand just in case, even though they seem to last forever.

I decided to pull out my Nikon Coolpix 8700 because I wasn't thrilled with my new camera. Battery was completely dead and wouldn't charge. This battery works great. Charges quickly with the charger I bought. Holds a charge for a few days. I've never actually drained the battery yet, I just charge it after using the camera quite a bit so it doesn't die when I need it.

Bought a pair of EN-ELI batteries in Jan 2010. One would not accept a charge when I first tried to charge it. I sent it back and it was replaced with no argument. A year later the second of the two original batteries has also gone bad and will not accept a charge. I am about to send this back. This may well have just been a defective batch as the first replacement one with a different lot is still ok

bought this battery hoping it'd be a good backup for my camera and was really disappointed that it wouldn't hold a charge. Worse than the battery I've had for years. It's very possible I got a bum battery, but I likely won't buy again.
