Why is the expansion more than the base game?

The MSRPs for both Targi and Targi The Expansion are $19.95. Both games are still in print so the prices should go back to MSRP.

I got this used but it is missing goods cards (I have 13/19), how many of each type of goods cards are there?

I believe for the 19 cards there is supposed to be 3x Gold, 1x Victory Point, 2x Single Salt, 2x Single Pepper, 2x Single Dates, 3x Salt/Pepper/Date Choice, 1x Double Salt, 1x Double Pepper, 1x Double Dates, 1x Salt and Dates, 1x Salt and Pepper, and 1x Pepper and Dates.

Does this work with first edition?

Thank you for your question. Yes, the expansion improves and expands the gameplay from the original Targi. You will need the following items from Targi: all 6 Targi figures; all 4 tribe markers; the Robber figure; all of the goods, gold, victory point tokens, and the starting player toke; the 2, 3, 6, 7, 11 and 15 boarder cards; and all of the goods cards.
