Tree HutShea Moisturizing Hydro-Light Gel Bohemian Escape, 6oz, Ultra Hydrating for Nourishing Essential Body Care

I got this to use to lock in moisture after using my in shower moisturizer, and body lotion or cream. I always use multiple forms of moisturizer because I’m extra like that I guess. Anyways, I usually use a baby oil gel but I wanted to try something with a different fragrance other than cocoa butter or the baby oil powdery smell. This is just ok IMO. I’ll stick with the Johnsons and Vaseline gel oils going forward. I love Tree Hut sugar scrubs and face scrubs but this bloody t is not my favorite. Would not repurchase only because it’s not worth the price when I can use a product that actually is cheaper and works better.

While this does impart a bit of moisturizer, nothing beats lotions, creams or body butters when it comes to moisturizing ur skin. The best purpose I have found for this product is as an aftershave gel for my legs. Calms the skin and makes my legs look especially smooth. Also, the scent, while very pleasant, doesn’t stick around very long at all. I prefer lotions, creams and body butters for retaining their scent. In fact, those last longer than any perfume alone.So, if you wanna smell good and get moisturized, I would advise getting Tree Hut’s wonderful Body Butters (they have amazing rich body butters that take moisturizer to a whole new level) and not messing around with this type of gel moisturizer, unless it’s for an aftershave gel for ur legs.

I was interested in trying this product because I had never seen a moisturizer like it before. I was dubious as to its actual moisturizing abilities being a gel. I also read the reviews ahead of time and saw that people found it to be sticky.Yes, if u use too much, it tends to get sticky. You really don’t need very much. The scent is great but doesn’t stick around too long. That’s why I love lotions so much because it holds a scent for way longer than my perfume does but with this gel, the scent has nothing to stick to.As much as I so wanted to love this product, I have to say that I won’t be using it very much if at all. 😢

This is the first Tree Hut product I’ve been disappointed with. I love their scrubs and that was what lead me to buying this, because the scent of the matching scrub was fantastic. But this gel provides little to no moisturizing. The scent while the same is weaker than the scrub. To get any use of this I first apply gold bond then this gel over it purely for some scent. Wish they made this scent in a spray or lotion. Hope that during the summer months when I need less moisture the product will get used up.

It has a light smell also it has tumerica which is good for evening out skin tone. But! There is no moisture none whatsoever. I used it as I structed. Right from the shower slapped it on then when it dries down I felt like paper. Smells good but that's all to it
