Very high quality, sharp long lasting blades
I've purchased these Makita blades as well as the off brand, and in my experience these Makita blades are well worth the few extra dollars they cost!! Sharp and smooth cutting and last!! The off brand I purchased, started out nice but went dull very quickly. Bottom line Makita tools are hard to beat, well worth the extra $$

replacement blades
These are great blades... easy to change and they do a fantastic job. They last a long time. In fact it's often that you don't realize that the old ones should be changed until you do replace them. The signs that the blades should be turned or replaced is increasing noise or difficulty getting stock to feed smoothly.... the finish quality remains ok even on old blades. Use caution when installing.... they are sharp!

Makita Planer Blade experience
I'm just finishing a wine rack using recycled old growth redwood from a bridge trestle. I had the redwood milled into 2x lumber and then I cut it into 1 5/8 x 7/8, 3/4 x 3/4, etc. pieces in my shop. Finally, I used my Makita planer to get to 1 1/2 x 3/4, 11/16 x 11/16, etc. final sizes. The planing process made a perfect finish. Tip: don't use a shop tape to measure; use calipers. With the Makita planer you can shave the stock less than a hundreth of an inch without leaving chop marks. Also, calipers enable resizing to replace broken pieces or make additional stock. EXACT reproducing is needed for consistency to pry the rack sections out of the template after gluing and pin nailing. I use dial calipers graduated in hundreths for all my wine rack and face frame finish planing (and tape measure/Powermatic for rough planing). The wine rack project needed about 3,000 pieces, each planed on four sides. With new blades, the redwood shined like glass. After a couple thousand passes (four to five pieces at a time), things got a little dull and I also got some tearing, depending on the grain. Reversing the blades to the sharp side fixed that. One other thing I noticed is I could pass wood through the planer's right side and get .6875 (11/16") and pass another piece on the left side and still get .6875". The machine is perfectly parallel from side to side. BTW, before the wine rack I did an oak cabinet job. So I really got my money's worth from the set of blades. I believe you can get the blades sharpened using an on-line supplier, but would only do this ONCE per set, as the metal would get too thin to be stable after that.

Sharp, long-lasting planer blades
These blades arrive razor sharp and stay that way for a long time, even after planing thousands of board feet of notoriously hard woods like Sapele. As another review mentioned, check the sharpness of your blades frequently, and replace them when they start to dull. It's money well spent if you care about quality cuts and essential if you're planing highly figured woods.

Four Stars
In-expensive and double duty sharp. Would rate a five, but I haven't had to replace the originals yet.

They right blades for this makita planer
Second set of these blades. When installed them in my planer, I was so surprised the blades made wood look like new. Old blades were chunking my wood. Machine work like new. It going through Purple Heart and Green heart without some effort but I’m happy with these blades.

Reversible blades cut like butter. If you notice your blades have chips ...
Reversible blades cut like butter. If you notice your blades have chips or nicks or are underperforming, then it's time to either flip them over or buy a new set. New blades are amazing to use. I love it how Makita made it non-adjustable. Just slide them in, tighten the locking screws, and you are back in business.

Sharp, relatively low cost and double sided.
Sharp out of the box, and double sided so they can be flipped and remounted with the opposite blade. Basically 2-for-1 value.

Utile
C'è poco da dire, lame ottime. Sono un po' care, ma la qualità bisogna anche pagarla, e cmq 35 € nn è il prezzo più alto. Ho un Makita, e preferisco andare sul sicuro.
