I am going between buying a karoake machine, or this microphone. Any pro's , cons, recommendations, for 10 year old?

For a 10 year old, I think this is perfect because you won't have to worry about a big, separate machine. With this, it's literally just the microphone and it's neat little case. You charge it just like you would wireless headphones, so again, I think for a growing kid, something with less parts, and less items that they might damage, this works best. You just connect it to any device like a phone, tablet, computer, even take it in the car!

Can this be used when recording video for a smart phone over Bluetooth?

I’m not sure about that, I only use this for sing a song that is all

how long is aux cable?

About 2.85 inch, a audio cable (included in the package), you can use an AUX cable to connect the mic with a bluetooth speaker (Note: Pls confirm it's AUX mode in the bluetooth speaker)

Can I use this as a wireless microphone with a Bluetooth connection to prominent external speakers?

I'm only guessing that the bluetooth within the microphone is a receiver only...besides if you wanted to sing into a microphone and output thru a PA.. get a set up for that. This device is for a more intimate setting
