Is this different than the 357 bondo spreader? they're both made by 3m and appear to be the same size...is one more flexible or any other difference?

This is a simple piece of hard plastic. Not flexible.

Is the back completely flat?

Yes, there is NO raised text on the backside. There is the hole that you can see in the picture. However mine are/came warped - curved longway. Good luck with your project!

Not fully understanding the question, if you can use the spreader to fix a cabinet, the spreader will add no value to strength or structure to a cabinet. The spreader is used to spread body filler and glazes on surfaces.

Can you use this for touching up shower grout?

These are flat on the bottom but grout typically is "indented" a bit. It would be easier to use your (wet) finger or the bottom of a spoon to press in the grout.
