Stay Cool, Charge Smart! ❄️
The Victron Energy Temperature Sensor is an essential accessory for Victron Energy Quattro and MultiPlus inverter/chargers, as well as GX devices. It connects directly to the battery to monitor temperature, ensuring optimal battery performance and longevity by dynamically adjusting capacity and charge current based on real-time temperature readings.

I will buy it again!!!
I love it. It's so convenient and accurate..

Solid Sensor.
I use this to allow the Cerbo GX to turn a fan on and off to cool the Victron Multipus II . So far the combination works great.

Brain need data
Delivered on time and in good condition. I have temp sensing on my shunt for my batteries now it’s time to go further. I have 2 of these connected to Cerbo GX for interior and exterior temperatures. Right now it is simply collecting data for the VRM portal but will eventually be used for relay control to fine tune heating and monitor remotely. After a few days graphs and reports are all available. They say it’s “Blue” power but it’s more like “gourmet” power

Not for smart shunt 500
This sensor does not work with smart shunt 500. That shunt, the bmv version cable, has to supply power. What I don’t understand is its even $10 more for that version, and this version doesn’t make clear mention of that in the description, it says the smart shunt ve version or something. Can’t I just tie this in with the power lead on a smart shunt? $33 is absolutely ridiculous for the other cable, when you can buy the entire smart battery sense for like $6 more. Additionally, this is the first time I’ve seen a product with a label from amazon saying “This product is frequently returned”. Victron makes good products, but seller photos and descriptions are vague or just completely wrong half the time. I had to bark at them because they had a 12/30 charger that was listed as sending me the 24v in the option. No way to order it. They fixed it so I could finally order it. I believe this is just a specific seller though. For this/these product(s) though, cheap thermistors at an absurd price. Guess they’re getting another return. I will not even order from this seller again, and find someone who will sell this bmv cable for a price less than 1/4 of the cost of the shunt itself. Ripoff.

Easy to use, hard to prove it is accurate
I have a couple of these, one wired into the Cerbo. I also have a Ruuvi tag being monitored by the Cerbo. As I sit here now, the Ruuvi is showing 48F and this sensor is showing 51F (I put them side-by-side when I noticed a difference). Which one is accurate? How do you confirm accuracy? 2-3 degrees matters when you have this sensor cutting off your charge controller at a certain temp.

Quality Victron
Victron original part. Does what it should.

Temperature sensor for Cerbo GX
The sensor itself is sealed inside the metal lug; the lug simply provides an easy point at which to secure the sensor at the monitoring location (bolt, zip-tie). It does not require any additional power or connections when connected to the Cerbo GX by the 2 wires, thus it can be located anywhere temperature monitoring is needed (battery compartment, engine bay, inside a refrigerator or freezer, etc.). Temperature data will then be collected by the Cerbo GX and uploaded to the Victron VRM portal.

This works well.
I installed the probe into my RV's inverter bay yesterday and the Cerbo GX has been uploading temperature data overnight. It appears the Cerbo can handle up to 4 of these probes. I will think about what other temps I can monitor with them. Unfortunately I do not see a way to use the temp info to automatically turn on any of the Cerbos relays to control my inverter bays fans.

Absurdly overpriced sensor
This sensor works as described but at the cost of 600% approximate markup from factory value. Please enjoy.

Tip top but you pay for it.
Bought to connect to a Cerbo GX to monitor a cabinet temperature and using the relay function on the Cerbo switch a cooling fan on/off. Work as intended, all Victron kit does, just very expensive for what is essentially a thermocouple and a length of wire.

Does not work with the Victron smart shunt
This item is very expensive for a thermistor. For less $ the bluetooth smart battery monitor that does the same thing along with provide battery voltage read out is better value for your $ and it works with the victron bluetooth smart shunt.

It needs calibration
As all Victron products is sturdy good quality and expensive. when you connect it to your system you need an accurate thermometer to calibrate it through remote console. I purchase 2 for measuring battery and room temperature both were off between 5 to 7 decrease compare to good thermometer, that is why 4 stars

There is something wrong with you Amazon
It’s a sensor! Took ages to arrive in a massive box! What a waste
