Ordered this weatherstrip to use around a door. It arrived in a small plastic sack folded 20 times making it completely unusable. The folds/bends required to stuff it into such a small bag distorted the weatherstrip so it did not keep it's shape and also caused the adhesive to fail. Don't waste your money on this weatherstrip.

It comes folded up in a narrow plastic bag. Every 14 inches or so, the foam is crushed where they folded it. (See my pics below.) I laid it out, hoping it would correct itself. No luck. If I used it on my door frame, it would look really bad, and there would be a gap in the insulation every 14 inches.

I like the product but because of shipping the paper covering the glue dries out and come undone also in bending position breaks a lot messing up the glue being exposed for some time .

Please be advised, this item is NOT rolled. This item is repeatedly folded 180 degrees and stuffed into a small bag. So there are sharp and permanent creases in this weatherstripping about every 12 inches or so. These creases do not come out. This means that it is very difficult to get a consistent seal across the entire weatherstripping during application. It also looks like the weatherstripping will try to lift away from the wood over time where there are creases. This could have been a good product, but it is ruined by lazy substandard packaging.

good looking product . yes you have to stretch it out in the sun to get the shipping kinks out but not a big deal . and the backing tape does tear sometimes when pulling it off . the adhesive seems good and strong and it is made well so i would buy it again and tell friends about it . coming from a construction guy i say thumbs up on this one .

I used the product to weatherstrip the rear entrance door to my garage, which previously had none.The product is well made, is easy to cut to fit, and adheres well. The special covering seems durable and has low friction so it doesn't stick to the door as bare foam would..I disliked the packaging because the product was folded every 15 inches or so (it's 19 feet long) and stuffed into a plastic envelope for shipping. This caused a crease at each fold which spoils the installed look.

I have kids and I work from home. I have to have an environment thats quiet in my home office and the bedroom for romantic relations. I tested with my HomePod and my Apple Watches decibel meter. with the speakers at 80% was getting 76db from the doorway. closing the door without apply the v-strip was 64-68db. After applying the stripping I was averaging 52db. Obviously you can still hear the music but it was a remarkable difference... and that opening the doorway blasted you with volume was intense.Door jam was very tight and you have to use significant force to close but that should lessen over time.

This product did not spring back into shape. Where they have it folded it 12 inch folds throughout the length of the insulation and has kept that crease. You can see daylight coming through each of those bends. They send it to you vacuum sealed.98° weather should surely cause it to reshape but has not.Please keep looking as this product is very poor and not worth wasting your money and having to go out and buy another door insulation from someone else as we are going to do right now.
