While unbleached sea sponges can generally be comparatively stronger (and not as soft) as their bleached counterparts, their “toughness” would also be dependent on the type of sponge itself. Lullingworth’s Natural Sea Sponges 2 pack have been specifically selected for painting. The size of pores of these natural sea sponges is ideal for decorating because of the depth and texture effects they can create. As a result, they will not necessarily last longer than bleached sponges. Also, their longevity will be affected by frequency of use and by wear and tear. They are bigger than I expected, which is nice, but I gather it is ok to cut them to any size you need?

Can these sponges be used to remove stains off wallpaper when used with warm water and soap?

Natural sea sponges can be an effective cleaning tool, given their ability to hold water and to produce a good lather with the soap or detergent used. However, whether it will be successful for this purpose will depend on the type of stain and if the wallpaper is suitable for cleaning with a sponge, soap and water.

What is the largest size you sell? I was interested in exfoliation of the skin Via bath soak.

The largest natural sponge we sell in the Lullingworth range is in this Natural Sea Sponge for Artist 2 pack which measure 5-5.5” when wet. Please note that these sponges are unbleached and have been prepared primarily for art and crafts usage (although some customers do use these for bathing purposes).
