Works well, although not efficiently, with 12v panels. It's easy to use although has no setting for Li batteries. I use one for 12v LiFeP battery and it works fine. You can set the voltage for charge and float. USB outlets control voltage at 5.1 v regardless of battery volts (anything from 10.5 to 14 on mine). Worth the price for the controlled USB voltage from a 12v battery.

Bought 2, and one was bad out of the box. They replaced it.. Why is everything that's made in China has a high failure rate ? Really to bad.

Sorry but this controller misses the mark. It claims to be a MPPT, but is actually just a PWM. Firstly, if it were a true MPPT, it could put out more current than is coming in from the solar panel. All I ever see is an amount below maximum panel output. I use a 100 watt panel with an MPPT of 19.5 volts and 5.1 amps. Under full sun, I've tested the panel with a 4 ohm load resistor and the resistor gets VERY hot, so the panel can perform.Secondly, the instructions are gibberish. Even by holding the menu button down for much longer than 3 seconds, I can never get it into the setting mode. I have 3 menu items on my unit that don't show up in the instructions. What does 61 mean? 200? FF? I scoured the internet for updated instructions but never found any. I'm all for product improvement, but why not just include a link for the latest?Lastly, the area behind the connection screws runs very hot, even at my modest level of loading. A slightly different mounting method could have the hot parts connected to the back, this giving more heat sink area.

So easy to use that you don't even really have to change any settings. Does not work with lithium ion batteries or batteries that have a BMS controller in them because this already is a BMS. I have 20 amps of solar panels feeding it and it maintains a lawn mower battery that I use for an inverter and 12 volt lighting in my safe room.

I don't know about upgraded, but so far I believe this might be the culprit to my battery issues. However, the power consumption voltage read and heat distribution. Everything kind of seems like it's right. The value for the money definitely is worth purchasing to try. However I haven't seen great functionality yet

Works as should. Easy to tighten.
