I was surprised that this item came from USA. It had USA plug and not useable in UK. I tried using it using a plug converter. Within 30 mins it become hot to touch and not a good thing to do. You really need a voltage converter as USA uses 110 voltage which is different from UK.I returned it.

If buying from the UK be aware that this has a US plug and is 110v so can't be used in the UK without a transformer.

I received 2 of these and plugged them in for 3 hours. One got barely warmer than the tabletop, not warm enough to even help seeds germinate. On the other, the far third was warm, but the first 2/3 of the mat wasn't warm at all. I have 2 other brands of heat mats which work properly, so I know what to expect. Save your money.

Easy to use, place & plug. Tough little mat. We got a little too ambitious and ended up buying 6 mats for our flowers and vegetables. I was worried about the stiffness as the mat comes rolled up, and doesn't unroll flat, but once you plug it in, it becomes malleable and becomes flat. Heats well and evenly but there are no heat settings or temperature control. It's always on as soon as you plug it in. We add a thickness of cardboard between the mats and the plants to make sure we don't overheat the seedlings. It seems to work fine for us. Please see photos.

I bought 4 of these to supplement my 20 x10 inch seedling mats which were not large enough to cover off the base of my Floralight rack trays (i put these next to each of the larger seedling mats and thus all my seedlings are getting some heat for germination). So far. I am pretty happy with the mats - all work as expected and the heat is evenly distributed. A nice bonus was the durable bands and temperature "padsÈ that were included - I wont be using these mats for making kombucha - but they definitely would be something that I would use if I were ever to make some. The instructions are clear that the mats can be used on metal, stone and glass, but not on plastic jars. I will report back after using these for a full growing season (I start my seedlings in Feburary and continue until early September for my 3 season garden). I am impressed enough that I would likely buy the larger mats from BN-LINK as I replace some of my older mats.
