Gamechanger
I have had rosacea for about 2 years. My cheeks and forehead are constantly red, although less angry these days with really good treatment and strengthening. Despite this, my makeup never sat right or covered it properly, even with a primer. By the end of the day it was like my lumps were coming through the makeup. I wear this under makeup my skin and looks good and most days it still looks good enough by the time I get home, to the extent that I went to dinner the first day I wore it with a friend who never normally notices anything and he commented that he couldn't even tell that there was anything wrong with my skin. It has given me so much confidence back. I do go out without makeup, but when I want to look fresh and made up, this is the magic in a bottle for me.

Lightweight sun protection & makeup primer in one ~ Kinda smelly tho
PROS: Smooths out fine lines & wrinkles; evens skin tone; provides completely weightless-feeling SPF; doesn't require a lot of product.CONS: Smells terrible.COMPARING to other ColoreScience Primers:- Wild to Mild Bronzer Colorescience SPF 20 Wild to Mild Soothing & Smoothing Skin Bronzer (1 oz) A medium-tan tint with pleasant fragrance - almost like Fruity Pebbles cereal :) light coverage so it can be worn alone or under makeup.- Skin Bronzing Face Primer Colorescience Skin Bronzing Face SPF 20 Primer, 1 fl. oz. I believe this is the same product as the Wild to Mild Bronzer as it is the same medium-tan tint with the same pleasant fragrance & light coverage to be worn alone or under makeup. Charging more for new packaging maybe?- Skin Mattifying Face Primer Colorescience Skin Mattifying Face SPF 20 Primer, 1 fl. oz. A light beige tint with unpleasant fragrance, light coverage so it can be worn alone or under makeup. The mattifying properties, in my opinion, are the same for all of the ColoreScience primers and this one is just as good as the others in that regard. However, this colorescience primer is really very stinky compared to the others made by Colorescience - think moderate chemical smell -not overwhelming but certainly noticeable for probably 30 minutes after applying.- *Skin Calming Face Primer* THIS PRODUCTA light beige tint very much like the Skin Mattifying Primer above and unfortunately smells very similar with the unpleasant fragrance. The smell doesn't seems to be quite a strong with this primer, but it is definitely noticeable.- Line Tamer Skin Brightening Primer Colorescience Pro Line Tamer Skin Brightening Primer SPF 20 A light yellow tint with a slight lemon scent. It provides not so much coverage as tone balancing. It is great for smoothing away red spots or blotches from Rosacea. When I ran out of both the bronzers and the brightener and couldn't find them for a reasonable price I thought I'd try this calming version of Colorescience face primer. It worked just as beautifully! Goes on smoothly and one pump's worth covers my entire face in a soft, smooth layer of sun protection. All of their primers including this product, have a smooth, silicone-like feel to it but goes on like a cream, so it is not sticky nor oily. My sole complaint for both this calming primer and the mattifying primer is the smell.Deal-Breaker for me: And although it gave me the smoothness and coverage and sun protection that I LOVE from ColoreScience Primers, I really can't stand the smell. I tried mixing it with other products and the chemical-like smell comes through no matter what I do, so I won't be ordering this "Calming" version or the "Mattifying" version again. I'll stick with the light yellow and med tan versions. For my rosacea-inflamed days or if my sensitive skin has had a reaction to something new (either topically or a diet change) I plan to stick with ColoreScience Line Tamer Skin Brightener as it neutralizes the redness and the lemony smell is FAR better than the calming primer smell. used to be kind to rosacea skin
UPDATE 8/2019: sometime in the last year or so, colorscience updated their formulation. i started to get breakouts. at first, i thought i wasn't getting enough sleep or eating something that set off my skin, but i noticed a pattern of breakouts developing during the week then clearing up over the weekend (when i don't wear makeup unless i have to). eventually, much to my sorrow, i had to cut the strings to this product. i have tried a couple of different products from other manufacturers since then, but nothing was as good to my skin as this was before the hated reformulation. darn you, colorscience! why couldn't you have left well enough alone?!original review: i have rosacea - which has turned my normal skin into very sensitive skin. over the years, i've tried multiple products to find the ones i can use without irritation or break outs. i found colorscience years ago in my search for a sunblock my face will tolerate. their sunblock powder works wonderfully, so i was willing to try out their primer. i prefer not to completely cover my redness so that it is not a shock to people when they see me without makeup. this primer fits the bill. i put it on in the morning and then apply a tinted face powder - no foundation. i've been using it for three or four years now with good results. i get reasonable coverage that feels light and washes off easily at the end of the day. btw, i've been getting laser treatments to keep the rosacea under control, so if you are very red, this primer may not give you the coverage you want.

Great product!
While this is quite expensive, it is less here than at my dermatologist's office. Works under makeup or under the matching powder. Is creamy, goes on well, lasts a long time and stays on all day. It seems to do a good job of protecting my face from further sun damage as I don't get burned even if I am outside for quite a while. As an added bonus, it blends in perfectly gives a nice even finish and doesn't cause me to break out.

Caused bad reaction
This particular order of this sunscreen reacted very bad with my skin. Immediately caused itching and redness and next day have a breakout. This has never happened with this brand and I have used many of their products for years. I’m not sure if this authentic
