I bought this for my 18 month old grandson as a stocking stuffer for Christmas. When he was on vacation in the fall, He enjoyed playing conga drums with his father, so this was a salute to that memory. It was mainly bought for him when he grows up since that’s probably when he would appreciate it for what it is.

Oh my! This Djembe is beautifully hand carved and sounds Amazing!! It is more beautiful in person than in picture. It's lightweight enough for me to hold between my legs without getting tired and even light weight enough for me to hold under one arm to drum as I walk. This may be a great size for kids but it's also a wonderful traveling size for adults too. May be small but packs a lot of joyful sound. I can even choose to personalize it and paint it if I wish. Almost second guessed this purchase, so glad I didn't.

Awesome drum!! I got this Djembe drum for my boyfriend, who when friends are playing music, he grabs a bucket to tap on. We literally know nothing about drums. Its perfect! It makes even his unskilled tapping sound amazing. Such nice handcrafted quality too!

Bought this for my daughter...it had a large made in Ghana sticker on mine...plus I bought another one from them the 14x24 model and it had a made in Ghana sticker on it as well. Both are amazing quality and has incredible sound.

...but the top was put together a little crooked, so I can't tighten it any more than I already did, (look for how to do this on YouTube).It was also a little dirty, as if someone had been using it for a couple years. It just didn't seem "new". But all in all, it's still fun to play with.
