great scent
it really works in our lower level laundry room, just placed it in container on a shelf and it gets rid of musty odors, also works well in a closet under steps. use this all the time.

Update 1/4/2020: Sometimes I can find this cheaper elsewhere, but I've been sticking to it and it makes such a difference, even in winter. At some point, I might change to an electric unit, but for now, sticking with this.The smell is nice, though it doesn't always last as long as I'd like. Also, if you put it in front of a fan, I've noticed that it does irritate my throat a bit, even if it helps it work more quickly.Anyway, been using DampRid for a few months now and the house is definitely different. When I moved in, there was a distinct, uh... Let's just say that I was less than pleased with the freshness of the house. Too humid, a house smell I didn't like. This has helped a lot and now I keep a container or two in pretty much every room. I live in a really humid area, so... I think I'll be buying this pretty much indefinitely while I live here. When I had an apartment, it was also helpful, but not as 'needed' as it is in this house.

Does the Job
Damp Rid does absorb the moisture, but the lavender scent wasn't for me. I used it, but my reorder will be for the regular non-scented version

Works so well, do NOT pass up the opportunity to at least try this! Works beautfully!
At the age of 45, I have been living in a "down sized" house. I always want it clean and fleshing when my daughters, son in laws, and the grandsons arrive!With all the rain we had last year (and AGAIN this year) I noticed a bit of a musty smell. This was recommended to me by a friend and now the mustiness is GONE! And all of my other products keep my house smelling wonderful! I sincerely recommend this to anyone - especially those living in older homes - to try this product! It is AMAZING!
