That's an impossible question to answer without more details - how long is a piece of string ? You'd best splash out the $19 and take a chance - at least you will have a good tool in your toolbox to lend to others.

Q: I was hoping these came with some instructions. how do i use these to remove small c-clips? i don't understand how this tool helps with that.

Right, no instructions... basically you pick the tool that is one size smaller than the C-clip. Using that tool, you push on the C-clip to pop it out by facing the “C” of the e-clip to the “C” of the tool. So it would look like a “C” facing a backwards “C”.

Inner,the tool got me out of a jamb,I was unable to get the ex clip back on my chainsaw after I removed it,this tool made it easy.
