Very soft, and shiny yarn. Lighter than expected. I'd say its a weight 1 yarn, I was expecting a 3 or 4. I got about 20 wraps per inch around a knitting needle. It knits up slinky and soft. As the other reviews say, its not got alot of twist and is really easy to split, but feels so nice and soft I can forgive that. Its so silky, I doubt socks made from it would stay on. But I now have a very cuddly, light sweater that just feels so luxurious.

I bought this with great expectations for a blanket I'm knitting (or trying to) for my grandson...Yay... finally it came.... very quickly, took it out .......andOh no.... this is not wool, it's thread for needle point....It does not, in any way represent wool...I tried putting 2 threads together, thinking this would be do able....I tried putting 3 threads together...... noI finally put 4 together and it came close to a baby knit wool...so back it goes....don't you just hate it when the product is no where remotely close to what they tell you it is....On top of that, it splits with every stitch you try to take...I'm a very experienced knitter and it took me 45 min to cast on 20 stitches.....it splits and freys.... perfect for embroidery work....but not knitting or crocheting....
