Review: 1st step for heavy swirls - This is a coarse pad, good for heavy swirls, you need a finer pad for a finish polishing. Very durable too.
Review: Wrong expectations! - I need a pad to quickly cut 2000 grit sanding marks. I tried hard foam pads with heavy compound but it took quite a while to get the desired results. So, I bought this rupes pad which is advertised as noticeably faster than foam pads. Results are rather disappointing as this wool pad takes same amount of time as hard foam pads while costing more than double. There is some wool shedding so, not sure about durability. Only advantage is that this wool pad runs a little cooler. In future, I'd rather buy 2 hard foam pads instead of this. Woolen pad cleanup is not easy as well. Overall, good product. Don't expect anything better than foam other than cooler temperature.

This is a coarse pad, good for heavy swirls, you need a finer pad for a finish polishing. Very durable too.

I need a pad to quickly cut 2000 grit sanding marks. I tried hard foam pads with heavy compound but it took quite a while to get the desired results. So, I bought this rupes pad which is advertised as noticeably faster than foam pads. Results are rather disappointing as this wool pad takes same amount of time as hard foam pads while costing more than double. There is some wool shedding so, not sure about durability. Only advantage is that this wool pad runs a little cooler. In future, I'd rather buy 2 hard foam pads instead of this. Woolen pad cleanup is not easy as well. Overall, good product. Don't expect anything better than foam other than cooler temperature.
