Still a bit slow - but does what it should do.
It works very well - but it is a bit slow. Not super slow - but for this price I rather like to have an instant read thermometer showing me the temperature... instantly.Also: changing it from Fahrenheit to Centigrade is awkward to say the least (in the battery area).Overall nice.

Durable and accurate
I love how fast this works. Not only that, but today at work, I accidentally dropped it into the fryer. I thought it was going to be ruined. A coworker pulled it out with metal tongs. It didn't melt at all! I didn't think it would work after that, but it was TOTALLY fine. I checked it in ice water and it registered quickly at 32 degrees! I'd say it was worth every penny!!!
