Earnest Eats Superfood Oatmeal American Blend (2.35oz.)

The product I received was rancid even though it had several months left on the use by date. I have to wonder if it's an Amazon warehouse storage issue...they won't hold up well in a hot enviroment.

Years ago I tried this product and would eat it a lot. For a couple of years I did not order. I ordered some more and the way it's made is different from before. I'm not saying not to try, just disappointed it's not the same as before.

Earnest eats oatmeal is awesome. It fills me up, gives me nutrients that sustain me from morning until lunch time. Feels "oatmeal-ly" but it's chunkier so I've got something to chew on. It's more substantial that regular oatmeal. Occasionally, I add some cranberries or raisens, almond slivers and chia seeds. Its really easy to supplement this with chia seeds or flax or similar. Finally, the container is "built" for on-the-go. In the morning, I add hot water and head off to work. Substantial container, top doesn't leak. I'll buy this again.

This oatmeal was pretty good. I like that it has a lot of other things in it besides oats such as amaranth, seeds, and quinoa. It was a little more runny than I am used to and if you like a bit thicker oatmeal I would not recommend filling the water all the way to the fill line. I also wouldn't recommend putting it in the microwave for more than 1 minute. I put it in for two minutes and the whole thing bubbled up and ran off the sides.

Great product and a real life saver if you are super busy. Its ready in no time and no clean up! Not sweet at all so you can decide how sweet you want it (if at all). I've ordered another two types :)
