I only have a few devices that require C cells, so it's a pain to keep that size around. I have many devices that use either AAA or AA cells, so if you can fabricate a C cell out of those types of batteries, that's fewer sizes to inventory. You can adapt a single AA into a C cell, but the capacity is not great, about 2000 mAhr for a rechargeable AA. With these adaptors, you can use 1 to 4 AAA cells at a time, giving you a "C cell" with the capacity of 800 to 3200 mAhr, assuming a 800 mAhr rechargeable AAA. These adaptors are made well enough for the job. The price is reasonable.

They do work for me, but can be a tight fit. My device which takes normal Cs just fine has a bit of trouble with these, but some fiddling will eventually find an angle that gets them to fit in perfectly. Getting the AAAs in can also be a bit difficult. I have a lot of devices which still use AAs and AAAs, but only one which takes Cs. Even though these aren't perfect, I think it's still a lot cheaper than going out and buying a pack of Cs which will probably die on their own before I ever manage to discharge them myself.

Prior to this purchase, I purchased the type that has a cap on it and they close sideways. They wouldn't fit in the items that I wanted to use them in. This current purchase, Works great. They fit in everything I need.
