The internal dimensions are just over 12" by just short of 4 3/4" but after very minimal use some of the stitching is showing signs of giving way! I never thought I would say that of a Maxpedition product and I am left wondering if I have been sent a defective product. I am disappointed and will e mail the seller to see what they have to say for themselves.Edit: already a third edit. I am afraid I will have to remove another star, the quality is just not what I expected, as well as being overpriced for said poor quality. The rear seams, which are the main ones on the holder, appear to be not only single stitched, but stitched poorly too. On all my other Maxpedition items, all major seams are double stitched and stitched well. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Top piece of kit. *by R***S on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 31 January 2013* I bought this item to attach to the exterior of my rucksack principally as a container for a jet boil cooking system not as a bottle holder. As such I am very impressed by the items fixtures and fittings and build quality. As always with maxpedition gear it is very well made and it seems that it has gone through a design process which has led to it's being able to be used for numerous purposes. The contents of the pouch are well protected and insulated whatever its intended use. Loads of great attachment points are fitted and also a shoulder sling is included for independant use should this be required. Jet boil cooker fits in on top of small items in bottom with room to store items on top in the holder cap.
