Very useful tool, but its absolutely not worth that much! I was expecting to receive top quality smooth polished material, but in deed it’s cheap plastic, however still useful and suitable for all sizes of telescopes

NOTE: the dark circle around the moon and cormorant is called vignette and I put that there after shooting the photo! I bought this because for $25 how can you argue. It fits the eyepiece in my Vortex Razor HD which has an OD of 5.5cm. It’s got a twist to tighten mechanism and locks right down, centered on the eyepiece. I previously had the Gosky model with the clamp you need to tighten. The metal bars were so narrow they left impressions on my eye relief cup. I didn’t like this at all. The large round coupling on this tightens all 360* around the eyecup, avoiding any pressure spots. Also it’s plastic so it won’t damage your eyecup as easily.The phone locks well into position via the tightening screw on the swing arm. The adapter tightens nicely to my phone as well.I have numerous issues with the Phoneskope platform. First: it’s like $80 which is a wicked turn off. I wouldn’t mind spending that if it was a one time thing but the fact I need to keep buying new cases for new phones and new couplings for new scopes and a separate coupling for my binos, at the end of the day the Phoneskope comes with a need to continually upgrade and update your hardware. This Gosky is universal. I can use my phone, I can use my girlfriends phone when we go birding. I can use the next phone I buy, and the one after that! It’s universality is really a HUGE selling point.

Ho provato 10 differenti adattatori per Iphonescoping e per Smartphone scoping, e insieme a quello prodotto dalle LEICA ma che è praticamente di uso esclusivo sul cannocchiale LEICA APO TELEVID (il miglior cannocchiale in comemrcio al momento) questo è senza dubbio il migliore che ho trovato sino ad oggi. Prima cosa, la distanza tra la lentina della fotocamera dello Smartphone e la ghiera adattatore è davvero minima, evitando così ombre e cornici nere, che invece sono sempre presenti negli altri (dovendo pertanto sempre usare la fotocamera del telefono almeno a 2x 2.5x). Poi, utilissimo il fatto che la ghiera ad anello si allarga e stringe con pochi giri, senza sistemi di viti, bulloni, e le altre cose tortuose degli altri adattatori. Ma soprattutto, l'anello si adatta a oculari che vanno da 32mm a 68mm, senza problemi e velocemente. Gran parte di quelli cinesi e giapponesi, invece, si adattano solo ad oculari più piccoli, tipici ad es dei cannocchiali Nikon e simili , di produzione non europea. SUPER CONSIGLIATO
