It really does depend on your coloring. All the shades are lovely. The red ones looked amazing on me. Very pale olive skin tone, super dark hair, black eyebrows, and brown eyes. I look best with a darker lip because otherwise the entire bottom half of my face just kinda disappears. So for me it's about balance. My lips do have a darker natural tone as well, kinda really dark mauve/purple-y shade so pale colors either disappear, look chalky, or change color. For instance, berry shades tend to go fuchsia and much brighter than I anticipated. Deep wine shades go berry. Bright reds go really pink, but muted, dark reds are perfect. They look natural, with just a little oomph. Hope this helps you at least rule out shades. Nothing worse than wasting money. And, fyi, Ulta sells these, and will take returns within a certain frame for any reason. Even if you just don't like it. So you can try a shade at a time. I often buy there first, and then buy here at a better price.

Animal testing!

I know this review will probably be pulled, but I have to share what I recently learned. Chapstick does cruel animal testing. They do this "experiment" where they put mice in water and track how long they can survive by swimming/floating. I will no longer be buying their products!

just a hint of tint :)

It looks dark in the tube, but it really is just a slight pink tint. No strong smell and makes lips feel soft. Overall a good product!

Great feel

I wanted a moisturizing lip with Just a hint of color. This is perfect for that! I got the pink nude color and it is just the right amount of color. The lip feel is very smooth and not sticky at all. I like that it will last a few hours atleast. Great product with great price too. I got another more expensive brand and chapstick beat that other brand cause it was similar results for cheaper price! Love the color also. Pinky nude is perfect for me.

Waxy With Not A Whole Lot Of Moisture

I was hoping this would be soothing for my chapped lips with the added bonus of a light splash of color. Instead I experienced a waxy consistency which didn't provide a whole lot of moisture. There wasn't much of a smell - if anything it was a bit chemical smelling.If you like regular old fashioned Chap Stick, you'll probably like this product a lot. If your preference is Blistex (more oily vs waxy,) this might not be your thing. It does provide a nice light tint to your lips which is easy to glide on via the twist up tube. Just don't twist it too high or it will stick to the cap.
