Good sketchbook !
I bought this Sketchbook 3 times so far plus the block version. I wasn’t a fan of the hot press texture at first but I learned to like it since colored pencils slides like butter on it . Unfortunately, when I opened one of my sketchbooks to use it for the first time ,the strings that bound the paper broke, the sketchbook looks crooked when it’s opened. This only happened with the A6 version, the A5 is intact so far.*Pros :1.100% Cotton which is why I bought it .2. Hardbound, a pocket on the back and an elastic cord to secure the sketchbook for travels3. can tear off the paper easily without damaging the binding4. can take watercolor\ink\gouache and colored pencils5. affordable for a 100 % cotton watercolor paper6. aesthetically pleasing – that’s just a plus for me- .*Cons:1. it doesn’t lay completely flat unless you try to break the spine2. some of the pages were stuck because of the glue, it can be separated but it leaves a teared paper looks on the paper. It’s not a deal breaker but I thought to mention it.3. it can handle only around 3 layers of watercolor, more than that and the paint will starts to lift4. it’s a hot press ! -this is a con for me since I personally prefer working on cold press paper-. *OVERALL :8\10 ! I would recommend it if you’re looking for a sturdy sketchbook to travel with or to experiment with different mediums or simply if you want to know what working on a cotton paper would feel like. If none of this means anything to you then don’t buy it , there is more cheaper options. Check the description the buyer listed carfully and KNOW WHAT YOU WANT IN A SKETCHBOOK BEFORE YOU BUY IT !!! or you’ll be disappointed .
