Excellent, Affordable Pop Filters
These no-frills foam pop filters are both affordable and effective. This is perfect for outdoor microphones, or for singers or speakers who tend to be more percussive in their speech. The foam is completely washable, making them great for multiple users. They fit perfectly on a variety of microphones, including SM58 stage mics.As others had commented, these arrive compacted flat in a small box. Simply rinsing them in warm water and letting them dry will not only minimize any odor, but also allow them to return to their normal round shape. These are permeable to air and water, so they do not make your microphones somehow waterproof.I definitely recommend these for most audio applications.

Makes my voice sound great.
Great product. Would buy from seller again.

A little thinner than I thought they would be.
They work very well indoors keeping the hard consonants from popping. I have no idea what they would be like in the wind though.

Good filter density. Reduces wind and plosives without dimming the gain.
The media could not be loaded. I added this as a 2nd pop filter to see if I could further reduce splosives and if this would muffle the sound. To check this out, I recorded some sound samples on Adobe Audition and measured the results. I scaled the splosives on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being no pop filter. The gains were from the recordings on Audition. No pop filterPlosives level 10Gain -8On-mic pop filterPlosives level 5Gain -10Gooseneck + ON-mic pop filtersPlosives level 3Gain -12The gurus say that the gain should be between -6 and -12, so all three were within range - although you do lose some. The plosives were significantly improved. Most people won't need 2 of them. My angle on the mic varies, so I wanted to have both to help ensure that I have a high quality recording.

Pretty flimsy
1st one split while putting it on. Have to be real careful. Also looks like it was cut from a sheet of foam so you can see a ridge after it’s on the mic.
