Use as it sprays with no problem. Works well, so far!!! **Q: Hey, could someone provide a bief explanation of how and where this is applied?** A: Mix according to directions and spray a two foot band on your house and a two foot band on the ground. This will keep insects from getting in and create a kill zone that will kill them when they cross. For a termite barrier, dig a trench around your house and pour the diluted solution in. Spray the ground with the dirt you've filled the trench with. The barrier will last five years. If termites are inside your house, call a professional exterminator because getting rid of them is difficult. **Q: Can I spray this on trees?** A: I don't know for sure. I'd give Bonide customer service a call. I spray my foundation heavily and it really works. **Q: Does this allow them to bring it back to the colony and eliminate the colony?** A: I do not for sure. I am using for carpenter ants and use to spray around my foundation and up the brick sides about a couple of feet. I also use baits that allow the workers to eat and take the bait back into the colony. I have found that a multiple approach is what is needed.
