How about a penguin for a pet?!
Read it aloud to my 5-year-old. He enjoyed it thoroughly. Now, he wants a penguin for a pet! The story is ahead of its time and it perfectly shows the author's imagination, passion and knowledge about the Antarctic. And, it teaches an important value: always choose to do the right thing, not the convinient thing.
