What a cracker!
What a cracker! Thoroughly enjoyed Chaya’s rip-roaring adventure, which is full of heart & action & packed with loads of rich, high-quality scene setting. Teachers will have an absolute field day with the story, both to generate discussion & to model quality writing. Ace stuff.

Not for me or my family.
Sorry this wasnt for me. Whilst the main plot was fine, I really did not like Chaya the main character of the book. She is arrogant and a horrible friend. The whole story is really quite illogical. I understand this is a middle grade (children's book) but this is not something I would want my child to read. Books for children really should have a main character that a child can look up to or aspire to be and Chaya was just plainly awful.

BEST BOOK EVER!!
This enticing book is a fun-filled adventure with plenty of room for drama. From the first few words you are transported to olden Africa were you travel alongside Chaya and her friends on an epic quest to escape the king’s men.Chaya is a curious young girl who steals for the right of others, she is determined and has a stubborn heart especially when she meets Nour in her friend Neel’s carpenters. She is an inspirational character with a lot of fire. A book that keeps you reading on the edge of your seat. When I finished it I wanted more and more!!!Nizarana Farook writes in a style that is easy to understand and has a perfect flow to it. Although her language is difficult to understand at times overall it is an easy story to follow.I would recommend this book for 9+ or people who love an adventure story with dramatic twists round every corner. In conclusion, this book is absolutely FANTASTIC!!! Mimi, age 11
