Great treat and good for them
These chews work well in keeping my dogs occupied and the dogs love them! They last a good amount of time, depending on how strong a chewer your dog is. They love the taste. They are a healthy treat any time of day.

No way I believed these things would work... I wanted to, but I knew better. I was wrong!
I've got one of those dogs... As sweet as she is, her breath will drive you out of the room. I've tried everything. (Yes, brushing too) She's also one of those dogs that eats anything you give her like it's a personal challenge to eat the entire thing a few seconds faster than the last time she tried. She's a beautiful little Sheltie, not overweight, but I think she believes if she can somehow eat the entire treat before you can close the cupboard door, she might get another one. My point is, most of the teeth cleaning chews don't end up doing much cleaning. She won't eat any of the rawhide products you can get at the store that look like these either. (she's also picky). But for some reason, she will actually take these and chew on them for awhile. As soon as she realizes she can't eat the whole thing in under 1 minute, she loses interest and is looking for something else, but halfway through the first bag and for the first time in years, she doesn't have bad breath! I usually end up throwing a half eaten one away each night, but she always takes another the next day and gives it her best shot. Whatever these are, they work. We did notice about a week or two after we ran out, her breath started running us out again, so I'm here buying another dose of happiness for us all. If I had to buy these locally, I could have her teeth pulled and pay to have an entire new gold "grill" put in for less than these things cost. Thanks Amazon!

Doggo approved. My dogs love these chews. I watch them to make sure once they are down to a small piece that I take them away. Technically they are completely edible, but my dog swallowed the remainder of one she had chewed on for hours and she didn’t poop for a couple of days after which is somewhat disturbing. But I don’t think it was dangerous for her and it was really my own fault for not watching her well enough with it. She was trying to keep one of the other dogs from taking it and she just gobbled it right up. However, I still give these to my dogs because they help keep their teeth clean and if you properly observe them while they are chewing, it should not be an issue. And that is pretty much a general rule for all chewies. They are a bit pricy, and I have smaller dogs, for big does they are even more expensive. They last a while for my small guys who aren’t rough chewers. They would probably not last too long with a tough chewer.

Totally transformed our pup's teeth from awful to awesome!
These have rescued my dog's horrible teeth! My husband and I took in a stray dog, and when she came to us she had HORRIBLE teeth. They were covered in yellow plaque. I tried brushing them every day, but it wasn't helping. The vet told me they would have to put her under anesthesia to remove the plaque, and it would cost $600!Well, before we committed to dental surgery, I decided to try these chews. At first, she wouldn't eat them - she was used to little kibble treats, and didn't know what to do with a rawhide-type of treat. But eventually I got her to love them, and started giving her one a day, after she ate her dinner.Progress was slow, but months later, her teeth had noticeably improved! The yellow plaque had completely come off her front teeth, and there were now white patches on her back teeth where the plaque was wearing away. Now it's been about a year, and I've reduced the chews to a few times a week. Her teeth look fantastic! There's still a little plaque on the back teeth, but it's nearly all gone. In fact, just tonight, my brother asked me if we'd started brushing her teeth. Nope! Just giving her these chews on a regular basis has completely transformed her horrible little teeth from yellow and plaque-covered to sparkling white. It may take a bit of time (give them a few months to show progress), but it worked for us! Our dog's teeth have never looked better.

My vet recommended, can't find them cheaper anywhere else.
About five years ago, we adopted a 6 year old chihauhau/pug/pekinese/guinea pig (just kidding) mix that had terrible teeth. After having them cleaned by the vet under anesthesia (sp??), the vet recommended we give him this brand of chewies to help keep those expensively-cleaned choppers shiney.I am not sure exactly what is different about these than other brands, but they sure seem to do the trick. We have had dogs in the past that used cheaper brands of various chewies, and I don't think they actually did much as far as really keeping the teeth clean. Five years later, this dog's teeth are still nice and tidy and he has not had to have them re-cleaned by the vet. (And if I remember right, it was almost 300 bucks to have him do it!)Though the dog mentioned could possibly use the smaller chews, we have 2 other dogs (a border terrier mix and a Walker coonhound/retriever mix), and when I get this size, it seems they can all share one bag and do okay.I recommend these if you have a dog with tartar problems specifically, but really, these seem to do a nice job keeping any dogs teeth free of ick!(Side note-- the chihauhau mix that I spoke of used to have seizures now and then-- maybe 5 or 6 a year-- that the vet could not find a cause for. Since having his teeth cleaned, he has had only 3 seizures in the last 5 years. I can't say for sure that his dental hygiene played a part in this, but it does seem a strange coincidence!)

Ok Chews but my dog isn’t crazy about them
These are OK but my King Charles Spaniel isn’t crazy about them. Consequently, if the dog doesn’t like them then I have to conclude they’re a failure. He’s eaten one but just played with the second. I’ll probably end up giving these away.
