Saw a friend use one of these. Why have I never seen one before?! So much easier than the grip type you usually see. Works great on jars kids of all sizes.

I'm a bit disappointed as I was hoping this would replace a different one I had that I used all the time till it cracked. But the thickness of the plastic on this one restricts it's usefulness. When it fits, it works, but it's limited use is very disappointing.

I have trouble opening jars whose lids are super tight. I had a jar of roasted red peppers that was particularly tight. I tried everything. None of my friends could loosen the lid; it was a running joke for months. Finally someone suggested that his mom swears by the Brix Jar Opener, so I ordered one. When it arrived, I tried it on the jar; it was open in one second.

I bought my first one at bed bath and beyond, it lasted for many years, I dont remember why it finally broke but it's so easy, inexpensive and doesn't take up room in my silverware drawer. you just place it over the jar and it pops the seal , have bought some for my in-laws. I love mine.

I had one years ago and lost it. Found it here at amazon and its perfect. I bought two and gave one to a friend and she loves it.
