If you own a vice, you must get these jaw covers...
The media could not be loaded. I generally put on the vice things that I cannot mar like pistol slides, acrylic pieces, and aluminum boxes. In the past I had to use things like cleaning clothes around anything that may get scratched by the vice but that was a pain to do and many times had to over tighten because the piece I was working with would slide between the cloth and the vice.I purchased the 6 inch pair of these covers so I can use them with all my vices and not worry about the length. The fact that they are magnetic is very helpful because you can take them off and put them back on a vice effortlessly. They also have grooves that helps to better grip the piece you are working with without having to tighten too much and risk bending it.Recently I had to drill multiple holes on multiple aluminum boxes and these covers came very handy on the drill press vice. If you are using your vice with finished products and materials, I highly recommend this item.

Easy On-And-Off ... And Can Be Used on Smaller 5" Vice Jaws
The media could not be loaded. As I show in my video, you can use these 6" long jaw covers on smaller, 5" jaws. They totally work on a smaller vice like the one I show in my video (and bought at Lowwes). My video shows how these magnetic covers attach and come off just as easily.Note that the purpose of these jaw covers is simple: they protect whatever you put in your vice, keeping the rough, metal jaws from marring your wood, plastic, metal, or whatever it is your clamping down on.

Fits my bench vise
They work good and not too expensive. I mostly use them when clamping my chainsaw while I sharpen it

Soft vice jaws
The vice jaws protected aluminum parts. Not very grippy (is that a word?) so I really needed to clamp down hard to keep the parts from slipping out.

Good material and grip but lacking on magnet strength
Job pads did a decent job holding onto the materials. I was working on only problem I had was pads holding onto vice jaws..

Perfect soft jaws for non-maring work
This is my second set, the first has all the cut outs for holding round stock. Not very useful in my opinion but I used them for a long time until I came across these with the knurled pattern. The material holds up very well and give a good positive grip on the work piece. Magnets keep the jaws in place so no fumbling with them when you are positioning the work peice and closing the vise. These can also be cut down to fit smaller vises.

Very Useful
Very useful for delicate items you wish to hold on the vise.

Perfect for engine rebuilding.
I got these to rebuild my motorcycle engine. I usually use a couple of 2x4s but got tired of them always falling out out of the vice. I needed something to hold a cylinder while I honed it that could take some abuse. These are not hard plastic or soft rubber, but something in between. I was also very happy with the magnets as they are very strong. Also note that my motorcycle parts are soft aluminum and tightly machined surfaces and these left no marks.
