Greenlight Planet Home 120 Solar Lighting System Plus USB Charger

I have a shed I use for a library; it's long and narrow, and off-grid. This Greenlight Planet Home Solar Lighting was the perfect solution. Photo shown is without any open doors and windows in a darker time of day in the forest so you can see the brightness. They come with hooks so you can hang them prettier. I went for function over fancy and was in a hurry. They work great! I was delightfully surprised by the brightness and the battery has not gone empty since installation.The enclosed instructions were lacking but installation is simple. Just plug the wire from the panel into the hole on the left side of the bottom of the battery unit; and plug the wire to the lights into a hole on the right side bottom. The lights connect together, similar to xmas string lights.Very happy with it and highly recommend it.

While I have never seen full bar on charging, they charge even on heavy over cast days. I do not use them daily but the only time I had an issue was when the kids left them on all day as the battery got down to two bars and I was worried they would not last the whole evening. We didn't use it for charging phones that night, but the lights worked the whole time.Purchased 2018 for use in an old house I used for storage/ workshop and cookouts. They were the main lighting and phone charger. Then later they became backup lighting and I rigged them on poles strung out in the yard for lighting and phone charging for cookouts.It's June 2022 and they still work great. I had one year I didn't really get to use them much, we had a power outage and I had just emptied all the generators for maintenance and lost power that night Dec 2021. Opened the box I had it stored in for over 6 months and the battery was still fully charged. Strung them thru the house and had lighting/ USB chargers for the kids till the next day.4 years and only problem was with one switch getting corrosion after I found the kids had not stored them from the week prior bon fire (or anything else for that matter) and it had rained the whole week. The switch still works, just had some issues the day I found it out. The switch was sitting in an area that retained water thru most the rains so it was partially submerged.Not only would I suggest this item, I'm thinking of buying more to install in a few out buildings

Easy install. The cords are plenty long enough, no hassle stretching them.My only gripe is: Why only one USB port? I'm sure the battery could handle the draw of two.

This item is fantastic, easy to install. The light that they give out is so bright. They each have their own switch, high, medium & low. I have an outdoor patio bar with a roof on it, we call it the Cantina, these lights light it up perfect, I have no electricity in the bar. What a great product. I want to order more but they don't know when they will be in stock again. Great product for the price. Please get these back in, I need to order 3 more sets for family members. If you have a cabin without electricity, these will work great.

Love these! I put them in my workshop love there brightness, love how easy they where to install love what the company stands for. Ordered a second set. Update the lights randomly come on by them selves a couple of the switches are not right. On the first set. The second set has not arrived or been installed.

These lights are amazing! They've revolutionized my off the grid cabin. I feel like I've finally stepped into the 21st century. Easy to install and the wall switches are an added bonus, which one can't truly appreciate unless you've had the experience of walking into a dark room in a cabin with merely a lantern in your hand. The three fixtures light up the living and dining rooms well, along with the kitchen, and their cords were easily hidden under hollowed out moulding. I like the yellow color personally, as they fit right in with the decor. I'd recommend them 100%. The only advice I have is to not depend on the solar box for your sole means of a cell phone charger. The cell battery takes too long to charge and pulls too much of the stored power. Your better bet is to buy a portable charger for your phone.

Really like the system. Worked great from the moment I opened the box and started playing with it.Two reasons for not giving it five stars;1- Installation hardware does not work well with a metal building - but some Command Strips and double-sided indoor/outdoor tape took care of the problem.....including the solar panel. Not really sure how the installation wires for the solar panel were supposed to work, seems pretty narrow application use.2- Can't buy more lights. I will likely not use more than a couple of lights at any given time, but I could definitely use more lights for the size of my shed. Lights daisy-chain together, so adding more lights would be very easy.

We used these to supply light to my daughter’s play shed so that we didn’t have to run electricity to it. It provides a lot of light to the 8x9 space. I’m nervous that they will quit working because of some of the other reviews. There is waaaay to much wiring than we needed for our purposes. We had to hide the extra wire behind the walls. Surface mounting was not an option with the amount of wire included. If they stop working, I’ll have to cut my losses or gut the walls. The panel was a little difficult to mount. The supplied hardware and instructions leave a lot to be desired. We chose to use plastic mirror hooks to support the top of the frame, and then a command strip to hold it tight at the bottom. For the price, we are happy so far.
