The media could not be loaded.  ***what I liked:+It can detect alfa (indirectly), beta and gamma (directly)+Accurate (tested and compared)+has an apple ios app (can connect with my phone via bluetooth)+the Li-polymer battery was factory charged and worked right away.+fast response (I had to wait avg 10-20 seconds to settle the measurement around radioactive materials)+tested all smoke detectors and granite stairs and countertops, some foods and fertilizers I have***what I didn't like:-Time format looks 24 hrs only and the user manual could be better (more informative and detailed technical)-It comes with only a USB-C cable, it doesn't state anywhere that I need to use 5V 1A adaptor for charging?Overall it worked well and I enjoyed measuring everything in my mind

Did work really well now it’s frozen and won’t do anything and also it’s stuck on I can’t even turn the device off anymore I’m mad

The media could not be loaded.  This product is great over all.The good: fast response time, small, light weight, lost of customization options in settings, accurate, and it's party peice spectrometer.The bad: I had 2 that didn't recharge. With this said not all bad as customer service was amazing and provided 2 replacement units. Also the First replacement was a refurbished item and was all they had left to send me as Amazon was also out of stock at the time.This unit is unique as the only spectrometer sold on Amazon currently. It's very cool and I've absolutely love it so far. The product is so exceptional that I'm certainly willing to overlook the trouble with the initial unit.

I bought the last one before the whole Russian debacle.This unit does a good job detecting alpha and beta.Still have to test on other sources.Not sure what Crystal it uses so not sure about the detection ranges etc.It doesn't state anything in the paperwork or online.The software to phone is absolutely crap.

Love the detector, definitely a great price-point for some pocket spectroscopy:) unfortunately, the device feels to be fragile plastic. Worse- within 3 weeks of light usage, the detector’s glue failed and it now rattles around in the casing, sometimes getting caught when opening/closing the window. I assume replacement units will run this risk, so i may try to dismantle and re-secure the detector myself instead.Bottom line - Neat device, but the glue holding the detector in place quickly failed.Edit, pushed sensor back in without needing to reopen, but still comes dislodged. But, now the battery refuses to charge.

I have quite a few dosimeters. Geiger tube based and scintillation based. I also know the market quite well. And I would like to congratulate Radex on making a revolutionary little device that has no competition in the moment.Did I tell this is a very nice instrument? It is.Super sensitive. About 320 counts per minute at 6 uSv/h = 10x more sensitive than traditional geiger tube based dosimeters.Light and compact.PC software works great.Screen is easy to read.Quiet Vibro alert mode if neededUNIQUE - you can measure radiation AND tell what gamma energy it is. This is a very basic spectrometer. But being sub $1,000, ~13% spectral resolution is a total win.There are no alternatives on the market. Insanely low price for what it can do.

This is the most modern Geiger counter I've seen so far being designed with some iPod inspiration.But it could be better:1. The enclosure feels cheap and thin. It's not like an actual iPod. For this sort of device, I would love to pay a bit extra for one made in nice aluminum.2. The software for my Mac keeps crashing and that's quite upsetting.

Nice little scintillation detector for ionizing radiation, this detector can detect beta, gama, and x-ray radiations, also does logging and dose accumulation, provides audible and vibrating alerts when radiation is above a preset threshold level. It also has Bluetooth capability which connects to your phone or tablet running their RadexM app, which features a impressive radiation spectrum analyzer! (see attached picture).
