Incredible for recording and live
I have used the MXR for recordings and live, and it's been an incredible. I have written songs on a midi keyboard and the MXR, without the use of further pedals. I've also used this pedal live with my gigging band, on guitar and BASS, for example, let's groove by earth wind and fire, without any additional pedals, and it's worked incredibly well DI and with the amp itself. The MXR has been a gem, and now we charge a dollar every time someone wants me to say something live through the talkbox. MXR works great with recording, and I would love to answer any questions or give tips about recording with it. Additional pedals work great with the MXR, some i've used include fuzz, distortion, envelope, octave, and more. I highly recommend this product.

Great Pedal, Fun to use, Amazing sound
I've been using it with a Roland Keytar and there were no issues, it is a bit difficult to use at first, but I'm getting the hang of it

This is Definitely Going to be Fun to Use
It works perfectly, although I'd look up a video on how to hook it in if it's your first time using a talkbox. I'd also suggest looking up exercises on how to mouth out what you want it to say if it's your first time too.The only hangup is that the bottom isn't completely flat/flush, but it doesn't hinder the functionality or usability. It should be noted I bought mine slightly used, so that might be the reason. Regardless I'm satisfied so far and look forward to using it in future projects.

This talkbox is my favorite thing in the world. Its so good. I have nothing negative to say about it. Its does everything it says it does, and honestly, more. Not only can i sing with funky robot voice, but i now feel complete and have inner peace.

Worked for 10 Minutes, then it died
I purchased this for my son who is an award winning keyboard player. It worked for about 10 minutes then failed. I have been trying to contact MXR Dunlop and waiting for a response. The blue light flashes, no sound. The direction are very limited. No technical data or troubleshooting. I would like to return the item but it is past the return window. It was a gift last April. He has been busy with school so we did not try it right away. we Just unboxed it and gave it a try, It died after 10 minutes of use. No information on as to why this would happen.
