They stay on well during washing.
These covered the rusted ends on my dishwasher rack and have not slipped off during the washing, even on a pots and pans setting. They are not difficult to apply, and one could put a drop of super glue in them, but I did not find it necessary. The vinyl holds up well during washing.

Essential for Every Dishwasher
Dishwashers almost always have a rubberized coating which wears down, exposing the metal which scratches your dishes and causes rusting. These caps are amazing, preventing rust and reducing scratches. I've got them for every place I've ever lived with a dishwasher. They're very difficult to put on, though. This isn't a downside; they'll last much longer and never come off. But you should expect your fingers to hurt after installation. You can use pliers to help, but you'll need to be very careful to not tear them, so only grip them enough to get some friction to pull them onto the posts. Also, you'll almost certainly need to buy two bags. Most dishwashers will need more than one and less than two bags, and it's good to have extra in case you tear a few while trying to put them on.

Great Concept, very useful!!!
My dishwasher is 6 years old with no issues but does have rust on the dividers. These are really neat and help it to not look so bad. I did have to order 2 packages for my dishwasher to cover all the dividers. They do fit very tight and are a little difficult to put on. I did pinch them and have to bang on them a bit to get them all the way down. I am hoping less rust stains on my dishes until the dishwasher no longer works and had to be replaced.

This works pretty well.
This works pretty well. Sometimes they slip off but it's a great alternative to having to buy a whole new dishwasher tray.

Good Product
We got them to slip on easily with just a little oil rubbed on the spindle.

Fit very tightly
These would probably install fairly easily on a brand-new dishwasher rack. Unfortunately, my dishwasher rack is a couple years old, and the plastic on the tips of the rack are worn off and the metal underneath is rusting. New racks are ridiculously pricy. These were a cheap fix. It is a major pain to get these started and pushed down on the tines. It takes several sessions to install them all, because after 20 or so, my fingers start getting very sore. Also, when installed, there is an air bubble at the tip. Time will tell if that is going to be a weak spot. On the plus side, they do seem to seal tightly and fix the problem of exposed, rusty tines.

Fit nicely
These slipped over my rusty, disintegrating dishwasher parts. In some instances I had to wiggle them on. But my dishwasher looks new so I am very happy that I didn’t have to buy new racks!

I came up with an easy installation approach,
I'm in the process of installing them, and running into the challenges others have noted. I tried several of the suggested solutions, and they helped some, but not a bunch. What I came up with was to take a dowel (maybe a half inch diameter or more, but a half inch is plenty sufficient and was what I had on hand) and I drilled a hole in the end, not quite as deep as the sleeves. The 7/32" bit was the right size, so it was close to tight, but still didn't try to pull the sleeves off again when I pull the dowel off. So I put the sleeve on as far as I could get it (about a quarter inch) and then put the dowel over it and push with that, which keeps it collapsing off to the side and it is quick and simply to push on. They look nice, but I haven't run any dishes yet with it, so not much more to report.
