Absolutely fundamental!
Despite Apple ditching the traditional 3.5mm jack, I just can't help enjoying the comfort of carrying just one pair of earbuds, to be hooked either to the phone, the iPad or the MacBook. The Lightning adapter does its job in a discrete way, and saves you on too many wires in the pocket. An easy 5-star product!
